Description

On A4 handmade drawing.
This drawing took my 4 days.
Reference: I used model for woman, others are imaginary.

The Ankh is commonly known to mean life in the language of Ancient Kemet (land of the Blacks) renamed Egypt by the Greeks. It is also a symbol for the power to give and sustain life, the Ankh is typically associated with material things such as water(which was believed by Egyptians to regenerate life), air, sun, as well as with the Gods, who are frequently pictured carrying an Ankh.
The Egyptian king is often associated with the Ankh also, either in possession of an Ankh (providing life to his people) or being given an Ankh (or stream of Ankhs) by the Gods. It is usually worn as an amulet to extent the life of living and placed on the mummy to energize the resurrected spirit. It is believed that life energy emanating from the Ankh can be absorbed by anyone within a certain proximity.
The amulet is a powerful talisman that provides the wearer with protection from the evil forces of decay and degeneration.

The girl in the picture, that lives millions of lightyear away, as her ancestors did, that visited this world hundreds years ago, uses the ankh...

Ankhs sound awesome. But if she needs to keep her shirt from falling down she ought to be using BUTTONS.

Pretty nice gradations in here, and good pencil control, but I'm not really buying her nose/upper lip. Might wanna get a bit of reference next time

Hmmm...I think you're developing quite an interesting style. Nice penciling, too.
Perhaps some reference for the hand and the folds of the fabric might help, but this looks good.

Very nice! The shading is very well done- the skin is great! I also like the shading on her jacket. The pose is suggestive.

There's something about her left shoulder that's bugging me- it looks slightly off somehow, but it's probably not a problem.

Nice use of pencil, the strokes are clear and the difference between skin and cloth is very well done

The hand holding the cloth seems to off a bit, and the claws are drawn with less care than other parts of the drawing.
Try to add a story in your drawing next time, not in text, that could make your work even better. Now she is a pretty lady but not more than that. There is very cool erotic art see marcus gray for example,but she could use a visual story/more personality.

I think it's only me who feels the head's too big? But then again she's alien... Or maybe my monitor is just too small.

The folds on her jacket are astounding! You definitely had a reference for this, right? The background needs work... it almost looks like some tropical thatch house with a window that has weird curtains (alien buildings in the distance). However, the piece is fairly good.

The shading on her body is very neat!But I think her face,hair,left hand and that ankh necklace are not as realistic as other parts of the picture,they are a little flat and need more shadining.

The figure and the eyes, awesome! The cloth strikes me as being a bit iffy, don't ask me why. Some of it looks kind of bubbly, like you weren't quite sure how to shade it...

Wow, real pencil work. Nice. Sometimes I think a pencil is a more advanced technolgy than computers. This type of pencil rendering is nice to see. Even though I like pictures that tell a story or set a context, I don't really find it necessary. A face can tell a million stories, no?

well grafiker, it certainly is excellent pencil work and the image gives new meaning to the phrase "sex kitten"

but i too have some problems with the face. i noticed that when i covered up the part below her nose that i found the picture more appealing. for me, i think what is going on is that the lower lip is too full and the chin is tending to stick out. i almost wish she had a slight smirk on her face! the other thing is that i kind of agree with jawine about the image creating a story. i tend to not read the artists descriptions,stories or poems at first because i want the image to do the "speaking " for it. (hope this makes sense!). my first impression was hmm.....a well drawn cute,sexy alien creature, which is fine but then you have this description of something more potent that doesn't seem to match the image. at least that's my take on it. it's still a good work though!

Sorry man but I am going to critic this one - from the head down it's fine but the head.. First off, the eyes are not realistic at all and the eyebrows should follow their shape. The outer edges of the eyes can't be so high up, need to be moved down a bit. Second, with the light falling like that the lips shouldn't be that way. But that's not at important. Someone else noted the hand - yeah it looks fastly done and not even reaslistic. Third - her neck needs more shading. EDIT- Fourth, noticed the light source for the face and the body isn't the same.
I'm not into scantly clad chicks so excuse me if I was so critical..
